Laughter Groups are community based associations of people where all are welcome. They are
non-religious, non-political, non-competitive, and a place where you will laugh like you have
never laughed before, leaving you refreshed and invigorated. You will do this for no reason at
all, except the desire to improve your health and well-being.


Laughter for fitness is a worldwide social movement started by Dr. Madan Kataria. It is based
on the principle of “laughter and breathing exercises” (laughter yoga). In Laughter Aerobics,
you don't need to be happy, have a sense of humour, or even have a reason in order to laugh.


For centuries, people have known about the healing characteristics of laughter. Recent
scientific studies now confirm the old adage that “laughter is the best medicine”.

Laughter Aerobics helps lift the spirit and inspires optimism and hope. It diffuses negative
emotions and opens us up to joy and hope.


On a social level, laughter helps dispel loneliness and alienation. It breaks the ice, makes
people feel at ease with each other, and improves communication.
